The project of ICDAS BIGA Power Plant in Turkey includes 1x600 MW PC-fired power plant with supercritical steam parameters with DeSOx unit based on sea water flue gas desulfurization and with a DeNOx system. The Plant will deliver the generated electricity to the 400kV national grid.

The boiler plant will be designed to burn imported coal as main fuel, and the natural gas will be used as the ignition and assistant fuel. The power plant can be operated at constant pressure and sliding pressure mode.

The mechanical systems, turbine-generator sets, water supply system, water treatment system, cooling water system, electrical system, I&C, fire fighting, flue gas desulphurization system, waste water treatment plant, coal handling system, ash removal system, step-up transformers, auxiliary boiler, diesel generator, telecommunications, etc. will be included.

Scope of the project The Works for the Power Plant include all necessary works for the design engineering, supply, construction, installation, commissioning and testing of the Power Plant within 36 month.

• Steam boiler and associated auxiliaries.
• Turbine/generator and associated auxiliaries.
• Associated electrical works necessary for the Power Plant and their common facilities.
• Associated controls and instrumentation works necessary for the Power Plant and their common facilities.
• Water treatment and subsidiary plants.
• Coal handling systems.
• Ash handling system .
• Sea water FGD Plant.
• Drain sump pumps for power house general drains, water drains, boiler blowdown water, pipework, and valves.
• All steel structures shall be supplied and installed by the Contractor according to the structure type list.
• Support or access steelwork and platform including all necessary walkways, ladders and handrails required to provide convenient access for the operation, inspection and maintenance of the Plant.
• All bed plates, sole plates, seating foundation steelwork, anchor bolts and supporting steelwork, embedded steelwork, grouting and grouting materials.
• Painting and surface protection requirements during and after manufacture, and at site, after erection and testing.
• Lifting tackle, tools and maintenance equipment either in the form of special tools or particular requirements for maintenance.
